The
directors of Millennium have a combined 80 years of professional
experience. Sixty of these years have been shared with their dedicated
interest in educating future generations. Each director is a specialist
in a particular discipline: ballet, jazz/musical theatre and modern
contemporary dance. Their professional knowledge covers all aspects
of performing including ballet and modern contemporary dance companies,
opera, musical theatre, TV, film, cabaret, artistic directorships
and administration.
The
directors shared a mutual belief that a high intensity course
in the manner of a conservatoire covering every aspect of performing
thoroughly but without specialization would produce a complete
artist. The goal was to create the triple threat: dancer, singer
and actor. The directors used their experience as teachers in
the vocational training sector and their authorship of other
schools’ degree courses to refine a program that would
deliver training most effectively.
In September 1997, Millennium Performing Arts was born.
Theatre is a tradition. The directors are committed to a doctrine
to uphold and celebrate the best aspects of technique, ethics
and etiquette while embracing the best in new developments and
standards.
We stand on our reputations.
